The Word of God

We believe that God breathed out (inspired) all Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16), including the very words of Scripture (Ex. 24:4; Isa. 30:8; Ezek. 3:27; 2 Sam. 23:2; Jer. 26:2; Matt. 5:18; Luke 16:17; 1 Cor. 2:13 cf. 1 Cor. 14:37; 1 Thess. 2:13; Rev.22:19). God the Holy Spirit supernaturally guided the writings of human authors. The result was His divine revelation in the form of the original manuscripts (autographa) (Acts 1:16; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:19-21). Because the Bible is breathed out by God, it is inerrant (Numb. 23:19; Ps. 119:160; John 17:17; Tit. 1:2; Heb. 6:18), and has total authority over all the affairs of human life (2 Tim. 3:16; Luke 16:17). Everything it teaches is true and it can be trusted to show the only true way to heaven (John 14:6; 17:17; Acts 4:12; Rom. 5:8; 2 Tim. 3:15-17).
